iFixAi Hits GitHub Trending: "Is This AI Agent Doing Its Job?" Answered in 120 Seconds
Open-source AI agent auditor iFixAi climbed into the top ten of GitHub's daily trending list on October 15 with about 28,000 stars: its 60 inspections answer whether an agent is doing what it is supposed to do, in under 120 seconds.

What happened
iFixAi, an open-source tool for independent auditing of AI agents, reached the top ten of GitHub's daily trending list on October 15, with about 28,000 stars and more than 1,500 forks. Written in Python and released under the Apache-2.0 license, the project was created in April 2026 and was still being updated on October 15.
Unlike evaluation tools that focus on capability — token efficiency, latency, prompt-injection resistance — iFixAi answers a different question: whether the agent is doing what it is supposed to do under business goals and organizational rules. A full run covers 60 inspections spanning AI red teaming, governance, compliance, and misalignment detection; the default run executes 10 high- and medium-impact "essential" checks.
iFixAi can be driven three ways: a guided CLI wizard (ifixai setup once, ifixai run every time), native plugins for Claude Code and Codex, or a one-command skill scaffold for agents including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, VS Code, Windsurf, Cline, Continue, Gemini, and Zed. Every run separates two roles — the agent under test and the judge that grades it; a citable grade requires the judge to be a different vendor's model, so an agent never grades itself.
Key facts

Why it matters
Agent auditing tools are shifting from capability benchmarking to behavior auditing — iFixAi does not test how powerful an agent is, only whether it oversteps or drifts off-task.
